Like many of our alumni, you may be in a competitive intelligence
role with little professional training and no experience. You may
also need professional education in competitive intelligence analysis skills
to translate information into competitive insights, to learn information
collection skills, or to develop the specialized management skills
needed to operate a competitive intelligence program inside your
own firm. In short, you need the CIP certificate to achieve the
highest professional standards in this new field.

TO EARN THE IACET-APPROVED CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUs)
The Academy of Competitive Intelligence has been approved as an authorized provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) 1760 Old Meadow Road, Suite 500 McLean, VA 22102. As a student in the ACI courses, you qualify to receive
CEUs for each and every course you attend, provided you fulfill
the course requirements. To receive CEU credits, students must:
- Participate in course lectures, teamwork, exercises, and simulations;
- Attend the entire course.
HOW TO EARN THE CIP™ CERTIFICATES
To earn the CIP-I and CIP-II Certificates, you need to complete the required level of courses (1 through 5 for CIP-I and 6 through 9 for CIP-II), take a written exam for each level (in the convenience of your office) upon completion of the course work, and receive a passing grade of 75 or better on both. You cannot receive the CIP-II certification without first receiving the CIP-I certification.
