This advanced course builds on the Academy’s core courses by giving you the tools and techniques critical for understanding and analyzing threats and opportunities resulting from innovation – both from inside and outside your industry. This one-day program uses case histories and group exercises to help you structure the problem and zero-in on the critical questions you must ask before it’s too late. Specifically, you will learn how to:
Identify the fundamentals of innovation, the intelligence component in developing successful breakthrough products and services
Uncover hidden drivers to anticipate emerging or unarticulated needs
Anticipate new and potentially disruptive technologies, key elements of technology forecasting
Use Technology Scouting to adapt solutions from other industries
Position the development and launch through competitor analysis
Avoid being blind-sided by the innovative efforts of others
